We are planning to open a Plants Gift Service Online. What we do is that we sell plants in pots or recycled material as gifts to corporate or local customers too. There is a huge market for this here in India. Its small venture as of now. I need a catchy, fun name for this idea of mine.

We are a small, minority promotional items company. In addition to promotional products, we also sell custom embroidered & screen printed corporate apparel. Any suggestions for contents that I can use to promote our promotional items on social media?
Jay’s Answer: Give away products to causes you celebrate, and invite people to nominate good causes.
Organizing a non-profit in our NJ seaside beach community. It will essentially act as a Chamber of Commerce but we don’t want to call it a COC. Our objectives will be to create and promote events to extend the shoulders of the summer season, focus on community projects to improve the quality of life for residents and businesses. We have the support of the town behind us for this new group but we are struggling with a name. Something that tells people what we’re about without sounding too business like. We want the support of residents and business owners. Name of the town is Beach Haven and we’re located on Long Beach Island, one of many towns on the island.

I have a friend of mine who is 18 years old who would like to start her own talk show. She will be covering topics such as hot topics, celebrity gossip, national and international news, politics, fashion, health tips and even a segment about animals. Her dream and ultimate goal is to become a news anchor or own her own television show. There are so many people who don’t like watching the news and she wants to bring a unique view to people to show them the news doesn’t have to be intimidating or always about something bad. For those who do not enjoy watching the news she wants her show to be a place where those people can go to be informed and not just hear bad news but good news as well, with a positive atmosphere. Instead of just telling the news reading from a script she wants to make it more personal and conversational so she can relate to her audience, and they can relate to her. The purpose of the show is to provide an informal platform for her audience but at the same time make sure she keeps them informed on what’s going on in the world today. The major obstacle she is facing is finding a name for her show. She goes by the name Shar which will be what most off her viewers refer to her as. She would like a name that is unique and authentic but at the same time, because she is only a teen, she wants a name that’s appropriate for a talk show for a young girl her age. She is very skilled and talented and I truly believe her show will be a great success. The name of the show will reflect who she is and what she is representing which is why this is a very important factor. I am asking for anyone who has any ideas to please help us out! Thanks!

I will be hosting a singles event on Tuesdays at a Lounge. In the event, men will be issued a key and women a lock. Every time they hear a bell they will need to attempt to find a match. There would be an intermission to which a stand up comic will perform for 15-20 minutes allowing the singles time to have a drink and an appetizer. I need a name for this event, preferably starting with the letter “T”.

I teach at a large community college that has NEVER offered a 3 credit course in entrepreneurship. I will be teaching Introduction to Entrepreneurship in the coming semester. Students are about to register for courses. I would like to leave a flyer in the enrollment office or send an email blast to promote the course. I want a tagline or lines that appeal to the dreamer or big thinker that has them feeling, I have to take this course! Any ideas?

A class will be held at the public library and I am searching for a title that will catch peoples attention. The subject is the historical relevance of two different railroad bridges in Scotland. One built long ago and one in this century. Their historical ties and how it shaped the nation of Scotland. It’s said to have a similar recognition as the french do to the Eiffel Tower.
Jay’s Answer: How about simply, “A Tale of 2 Bridges”?
I have a business making original one-of-a-kind purses and tote bags out of antique or unique hard back book covers and vintage album covers. I am looking to find an original name for my very small business. The products I create are a bit on the upscale side since each one involves many hours of work and the main items I use can be particularly expensive. They will be selling for between 75 and $100 each. These types of items will definitely be attractive to people who love music and reading. I would like them to appeal to people who are willing to put out the money for something that takes this much time and hard work and love.

Financial industry – B2B….Our product series is a year old & is building brand equity. We are consolidating the series from 5 products to 3 as a means to better organize them based on how clients use them. Therefore, the product brand is not changing but the individual names are due to this reorganization. Do I move forward with a campaign message that includes the old product names or move towards the revitalize names sans explanation and focus on the benefits of the consolidation?
It seems simpler to exclude the mentioning of the old names and focus on the brand & the simplification of the reorganization to focus on the new product names.
Jay’s Answer: Do your clients care about your reorganization? If so, then explain the rationale and educate on the renaming’s strategy. If not, then simply phase in the new name (version “2”), explaining the consolidation from a product/pricing perspective.
