If you have an interesting and successful business passion to share with our viewers please email the producer your press materials.

  • Qualifications: a long-term passion and a successful and visually interesting business.
  • Taping Background: 2 field cameras. Non-commercial. No compensation for appearance.
  • Finished Segment Length: up to 15 minutes
  • Taping Dates: Ongoing
  • Location: Since the guest is an active participant in the taping effort, the guest needs to identify and get permission for an appropriate field location for taping.
  • Target Audience: The show’s primary purpose is to inspire people to use/find their passion and apply it into their business life. The secondary purpose is to showcase the guest’s business.
  • Format: Interview. Each show has 3 segments:
    • The Past: What is the guest’s passion? When did they discover it? How did they attempt to use the passion in their life?
    • The Present: What is the guest’s business? How do they utilize their passion?
    • The Future: Where do they hope to take their business/passion? How else do they express their passion in their life?
  • Footage: The show requires a wealth of visual images from each guest (no matter how great a speaker you are, visuals separate TV from radio). If you already have broadcast-quality digital footage (with no copyright conflicts and appropriate releases), we may integrate this into the show. Otherwise we’ll shoot background footage at guest’s place of work (or public appearance). After the taping, you’ll also be emailed a list of requested supporting visuals to complete the show.
  • Clothing
    • Select clothing that works well on camera. Choosing the colors you wear is very important. Good colors to wear on TV include pastels, earth tones and colors that are not too vibrant (i.e., hot pink). Solid colors tend to work better than “busy” patterns. Avoid wearing clothes that are predominately white, black, or red. Checks, herringbone, and striped patterns should also be avoided as they can appear to “vibrate” on camera.
    • Wear clothing that is easy to attach a lapel microphone onto. This would include jackets, cardigans, shirt-dresses, and shirts that button in front. T-shirts, turtle necks, jewel necklines are much more difficult to attach a microphone to. You want to avoid wearing necklaces and long dangling earrings that might interfere with the microphone and cause distraction.
    • Avoid wearing shiny jewelry that may cause unwanted camera reflections.
  • Prior to appearance
    • Email: how you want your name to appear and your public contact information (phone number, website, email),
    • Bring: books, products, or appropriate “props”. Detailed images (including photos) should be sent via email.
