Name For Online Baby Business

Hi, I am struggling to decide on a business name. Im currently in the early stages of starting my online business selling handmade vintage/retro inspired baby linen (sheet sets, quilts & swaddles) made with 100% natural fibres. i will have a facebook and etsy page to start then an online store and will ship domestically and internationally. i plan on doing some advertising through local baby magazines/newspapers and have stalls at local markets. i also thought i would do some market research through my local council to gauge potential customer views on price, designs etc. i would really appreciate your tips/advice on interesting & imaginative business names.

Tagline for a Daily Deal Website

Need a fun tagline for our daily deal site (Dealpalooza.com). We are all about saving families money and teaching them how to have fun. We want to appeal to the coffee loving savvy mom… but we don’t want to go to female. Think snarky, playful, edgy, silly…

Charitable Donations for Public Schools

What are some ideas to secure small ($500) donations from gas companies for booster clubs in public schools?

###

Jay’s Answer: You’re more likely to get gas cards from the companies than cash. But the key is to showcase why they should help out your school(s), and what’s in it for them.

Tagline For Mobile Solar Sales/Install Business

Searching for a catchy tagline for a mobile, portable and remote solar sales and installation business. We do not sell/install AC (110-volt) systems like those found in homes – only 12-volt DC systems like those found in RV’s, marine, camping and remote off-grid cabins and farms. In a nutshell: We sell and are professional installers of 12-volt DC solar systems. We have a mobile showroom and perform installations at the customers property. We are looking for a tagline that captures this essence and maybe even add some spice/fun to it. The name of the business is Green Mountain Mobile Solar, located in Vermont, USA – the green mountain state.

I’m looking for a name for the swimming club I’m about to start. It recreational and for ladies only. I didn’t get further than ‘Octopussy’ (I know) :-) We almost all working ladies and we need to plan our time carefully. Therefore, 1hour per week, we will schedule this in. It will be a time to work out and to meet with our friends. Moreover, our men already started a swimming club of their own. It can be an acronym too.It not necessary to include this but fyi the swimming pool where we will swim is called ‘Rozenbroeken’ and it is in the little town ‘sint-amandsberg’.

Need Catchy Title For A Ladies Fundraising Group

I work for a non-profit that is 100% donation funded and serves people facing cancer from a local area (not national). We host 4 events per year with net proceeds benefiting programs. Originally, the volunteer group of women who gathered to plan, coordinate and execute events as fundraisers was called the “Ladies Auxiliary Group” – as it is still known today. The group has evolved; early years they tended to be in early 20’s through late 30’s with the majority leaning younger. We could count on at least 25 women on an annual basis. Now more like 20’s through 40’s with majority on the older end and numbers are decreasing to 8-12 women. Consensus is that Ladies Auxiliary connotes more of an aged group and that the term is outdated. We needs suggestions for new names because we will be aggressively recruiting for new, energetic members. Ideas?

Carrot And Stick List Building

Carrots And Sticks Marketing

Imagine you have a brick-and-mortar store and you know you need to build your customer list. What are your options?

You could require people to register (or become a member) before being able to shop. Members-only stores (such as Costco) are created to produce a regular second income stream (membership fees) or are used to ensure that shoppers are prequalified (to improve the type of shopper).

You could ask people for their contact information to get notified of “special offers”. This is permission-based marketing. You encourage people to sign up (with an appropriate benefit), but it’s not a prerequisite for doing business with you.

You could offer a two-tiered pricing model: a higher price for the general public and a lower price for those that provide their contact info. This is also permission-based marketing (since you don’t require the contact information) but it places a value on your contact information. You see this ever-increasingly in supermarkets, department stores, and pharmacies, which can collect your purchases history and either better target offers to you or provide co-marketing opportunities to third parties. How well two the two-tiered model works psychologically is based on how clear the pricing is articulated. Imagine seeing one price on the shelf, going to the checkout stand, and finding that the price is 10% higher (because you haven’t provided your contact information). Contrast this with seeing one price on the shelf, and being offered 10% off that price if you provide your contact information. The former would create distrust (no truth in advertising) while the latter would create an opportunity (you already selected the item for a price, now you’d pay even less).

As a business owner, you know that a customer list is the real value of your business. How you build the list will determine the quality of your list and the quality of your customer relationship.
