New Wedding Association Tagline

I am trying to come up with a taglines for a new wedding association. The association only allows for 1 vendor per category and we consider ourselves the best in our area. We are a close knit group and would easily recommend any of the vendors services to any of our clients because we know they are the best.

The name of the association is Northern Colorado Wedding and Event Professionals.

Jay’s Answer: “We Do” It All Well

Institutional Pharmacy Name

I need a name for a pharmacy that will service long term care facilities like nursing homes/assisted living facilities etc.I don’t know if I just combine the names of the founders or go with something that ties in with the service. I was thinking of “Alacrity” and including the definition but it doesn’t seem to flow correctly.

Jay’s Answer:

  • Long Term Pharmacy
  • Whistle Stop Pharmacy

Name And Tagline for Small Business Billing Company

I’m currently a Virtual Assistant. I’ve been doing this since 2005, but I’m ready to streamline my offerings to one single niche-Billing via QuickBooks.

Here are the facts:

  • I am looking to create an entirely new identity.
  • I want to present a professional image. I expect my clients to be small businesses (contractors, one man offices, small legal offices, etc.) who generate income but don’t have the time to process invoices in a timely manner for themselves.
  • I plan on providing the service locally and virtually.
  • My biggest selling point is invoicing means income. I’ve met many small businesses who simply don’t take the time to invoice, and their cash flow suffers. I want to emphasize the importance of invoicing.
  • I am a Christian. I’ve considered Biblical references for a business name-such as Strong Tower Billing. I’m not concerned about turning people off with my business name. I’m more concerned with serving HIM well. Would hate to disappoint someone with my service, and in turn, give them a bad opinion of Christians.

With regard to a name, I was originally thinking of something that said “Quick, Fast, Done!” (kind of like Bada-Bing!) Then, I googled Bada-Bing, and YIKES! So, I’d like to steer clear of that message.

I’d really like something fun. Different. I don’t know that I’m concerned with my name saying “billing”. What the heck does Google mean anyway?

SO, I’m looking forward to hearing your suggestions!

Jay’s Answer: Since you’re a virtual assistant, that means that your clients can be anywhere in the world. That’s why you want your website to be search engine friendly and optimized for people who want what you’re offering to find you.

A “fun” name may be different, but won’t help business people to immediately grasp what it is you’re offering. The more obscure the name/tagline the greater the likelihood you’ll lose potential clients.

Some names to consider:

  • Invoice Maximizer
  • Small Business Billing Express
  • We Bill Sooner
  • Invoice Express

Collectible Bear Shop Name

I do not want to use “beary” as is often used for “very” but I do want to distinguish my mint condition, one owner, treasured bears–each with own personality (given by designer of bear). I can’t sign a contract without a name. Please help.

Jay’s Answer:

  • Gary’s Collectible Bears
  • Treasured Bears
  • The Bear Sleuth (a pack of bears is called a sleuth or sloth)

Tagline for a Coaching Business

I am starting a new Coaching Business named TOUCHSTAR Coaching and would really appreciate your expertise with a Tagline. As I am starting out, I would like to keep my client base open, and need a tagline which appeals to both the individual (personal/life coaching) and to the senior executive in a company (corporate/executive coaching). As most people do not actually know what coaching is, the tagline should somehow reflect that. Coaching is meant to allow a person to achieve what they could not on their own by identifying what they really want and asking powerful questions to empower the individual and unlock their potential. The company logo shows a person reaching out to touch a Star and I am trying to find a tagline that compliments the logo. I’m really struggling to come up with something that is creative and fits, please can you help….

###

Jay’s Answer: First, how you market coaching to individuals and executives is quite different. While what you do is similar, the language you use to define your benefits is unalike. Individuals want to improve their lives. Execs want to improve their professional performance. Similar, but measured differently. So, you’ll need to choose one one these niches. If you haven’t (yet) worked with execs, then start with individuals (execs will want to see your client list, while individuals will understand the “starting out” mode you’re in).

Next, since you’re likely to work face-to-face with people, consider mention your region in your tagline (“Improving Lives In Chicago”).

Lastly, you need to focus on what the benefit for your client is, not how you operate (“by asking powerful questions”).  Empowering/unlocking is okay, but doesn’t touch on a key emotional benefit (for a list of the various emotional motivators, see: http://www.manygoodideas.com/2009/06/01/marketing-with-adrenalin/)

Some off-the-top suggestions:

  • Feel More Alive.
  • Live Confidently. The Sky’s The Limit.
  • Free Your Spirit. Feel Life A Superstar.

Tagline For Interior Design Networking Events

I would like to get a catchy tagline for my interior design business. I attend networking events and need to give an elevator speech to potential prospects and would like a catchy tagline which I have not been able to come up with on my own. I might even need 2, one for people who are familiar with what I do and one for people who don’t have any idea that people do what I do (which seems to be a lot).

I provide interior (architectural) design for commercial spaces, much like what people would expect to be architecture. I’m not a decorator. I work with clients to make sure the space they are in supports how they function. Then by space planning (drawing up the walls on a blueprint) the space will benefit the employees and visitors with convenience. I have set up my website with the basics of the process. First I would keep the intent of a sustainable design (best use of money for the client), then programming (figuring out how much space they really need and what things need to be next to each other), then space planning (drawing the wall locations) and finally the interior design (this is what makes the place pretty with wall, floor and ceiling finishes and then furniture).

###

Jay’s Answer: (Aside: While people may like that you do sustainable design, it’s often not a primary motivator)

  • Designing Interior Spaces That Works For You
  • Optimizing Work Spaces For Efficiency
  • Saving Money. Boosting Efficiency. Improving Morale.

Name My Bakery

I’m going to open a bakery firm so I need names and tagline so please kindly help me out?

###

Jay’s Answer: I strongly suggest that my clients don’t start planning their business with a name & tagline. Instead, they need to create a business/marketing strategy plan. The plan will describe: what you’re selling, to who, what makes your business better/different from your competition, why people would trust you, how people will find you, etc. The words that you use in the plan itself will be a great starting point for names & taglines.

Since I don’t have a clue what your bakery will be selling, the only names I can suggest are generic: YourTown’s Best Bakery or The Fresh Baker.

Name My Event Planning Business

I need a catchy tag line to put on my business cards for my Event planning business. We work with corporate/reunions/incentives clients. We special in team building, recreational activities, dinners and theme events. We want to have the appeal of being new, innovative and modern. Can you help me with some tag lines? My business is named: DESTINATION LAKE TAHOE MEETINGS & EVENTS.

###

Jay’s Answer: Some quick thoughts:

  • “Specializing in Corporate, Recreational, and Themed Events” – this acts as a menu of your services.
  • “Creating Memorable Themed Experiences” – this speaks more to your client’s needs

Name Our Kettle Corn Business

Hi…My name is Karen Miller, my partner’s (business and romantic)is Bruce Gaspord.  We are starting a kettle corn business and want to set up our booth at State Fairs, farmer’s markets, festivals, etc.  Our plans are to build a booth that mimics a covered wagon (wood sides and a canvas top).  We need a catchy name for our business (a western flair to it).  Do you have any ideas?

###

Jay’s Answer: How about:

“Covered With Popcorn” – which connotes the covered wagon & the avalanche of popcorn?

-or-

“Wild West Popcorn” – which might be a bit corny, but is along the lines of your request

-or-

“Pop Your Corn” – a cowboy phrase meaning “Say what you have to say/speak out”

-or-

“Popcorn Trail” / “Trail of Popcorn” – connoting both the wagon trail / a long line of popcorn.
