What Is A Good Name For A 24/7 Childcare Center?

We are planning to have a educational but fun childcare center. The ages of the children will be from infants to 5 years old. We are planning to open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.We are planning to have an area where the mothers that are still breast feeding can go and have privacy,There will be a nurse on call for the children/staff in case of an emergency or sickness. We will have the best trained employees on site with educational and professional skills, but most of all love for children and their needs and learning abilities.

I need a name that would draw attention to the parents and the child wants to come inside and stay.I need the name to reflect my business on the inside as well as the outside.I also need a tagline. I need a name that would stand out in their heads. Thanks.

Here are some names I came up with:

  • Kids Cove
  • Kids Paradise
  • Sugar & Spice

Jay’s Answer: Here are some ideas for you to consider:

  • 24/7 Childcare Center
  • Childcare Around The Clock
  • Childcare When You Need It
  • Grandma Thelma’s Childcare Center
  • Childcare Away From Home
  • Child Day And Night Care
  • The Child Hotel
  • Child Cloud (a soft place to care for children)
  • Kids Kare
  • Care 4 Kids
  • Open Arms Childcare

Each of these names focus on different benefits. Unless you have a large budget for marketing, it’s generally best to keep the name “obvious” rather than obscure. Also, some of these names can be used as taglines. For example:

  • The Child Hotel: Childcare Around The Clock

As for your names:

  • Kids Paradise and Cove connote an older kids group.
  • Sugar & Spice sounds little like a bakery’s name, and might be confusing.

Pick a name you like, but more importantly, pick a name that your prospective clients’ like. Find people you know (and don’t) and ask them for what resonates (and why). Your name needs to “work” for your area.

How Should We Name Our Health Insurance Business?

My fiance and I are both self employed HEALTH insurance agents. We are in the process of really venturing out and I am trying to come up with a great name for our business.

So many insurance companies around here are just the agents name, BORING and I am having a hard time finding different examples.

Our background: Currently most experienced with Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement, but now we are embarking into the individual health insurance side. We will be dealing with individuals, seniors, dental, indemnity, accident, etc, basically all health insurance besides life since we do not have our life license (but will shortly). We are licensed in Alabama, Mississippi and Florida so can service those states. The last name will be Jadick once we are married.

Any suggestions of something creative would be WONDERFUL!!

Jay’s Answer: You have 2 basic choices: something that mentions insurance in the name or doesn’t.

Names that mention insurance make it more obvious what you do, and don’t require much extra wording to clarify:

  • So’East Insurance
  • InsurAbility
  • A Policy For Everyone
  • Jadick Insurance Co.

Names that are a bit obscure, require more description to clarify what you do:

  • Policize
  • Nest Egg Protectors
  • Safety Netters

If you’re planning on advertising in the Yellow Pages, you might consider having a name that’s earlier alphabetically, such as:

  • 123 Insurance Made Easy
  • 1 Policy Protection

What Are Creative Names/Taglines For A Construction Company?

We are searching for a creative name/tagline for a new construction company. This is a one man operation, no job too big or small. The new housing market at a standstill, maintenance, repair & remodel are the focus of this business. Our birthname is too common and we prefer play on words.

###

Jay’s Answer: Generally, you want your business name/tagline to focus on the key benefit you offer – some words that will connect with your target audience. Given your request:

Names:

  • Build-it, Fix-it, Remodel-it
  • Hammered Homes
  • Castle Construction
  • The Home Artisan
  • The One Man Remodel Band

Taglines:

  • Everything From a Room To a Mansion
  • Nailing Your Construction The First Time
  • We Listen, Measure, Cut, and Build Your Dream
  • From Dog Houses To Castles
  • Completing Your Home Vision

What Is A Good Headline For A Valentine’s Day Jeweler Ad?

I am having trouble coming up with something original for a flyer for a Valentine’s Day Marketing Campaign. The Product Is good quality Sterling Silver Jewelery, and the target audience is 20 to 55 yrs
We do not sell diamonds or gold so nothing along those lines either. Also the store is not located in the most affluent of areas – So it will include a voucher for 20% of all sets in store.

What Is A Good Campaign Name For an Incentive Program?

I am set to launch an incentive program. The incentive program’s audience is the sales force and the purpose is to generate increased sales and motivate and reward them for hitting and EXCEEDING their targets. This program will consist of several promos (annual drive and tactical campaigns). I need one generic campaign name that will embody all of these promos – like an overall theme. I want the name to have an easy recall & smart/witty. The prizes range from cash, trips, GCs.

Generate Your Own Business Name

Someone contacted me recently looking for a name for a new high tech business. They specifically didn’t want a name that conveyed any details about what the company actually did. They simply wanted a name that sounded cool. So I referred them to Dot-a-mator. For example, here are some of names it generated for me:

  • Linkjam
  • Rifftube
  • Tambee
  • Yotz
  • Kicero
  • Ore
  • Aitz
  • Cogivee
  • Jetware
  • Chatblab
  • Zoonder

If you want to narrow down the list further, you can ask it to mix/match prefixes/suffices using its built-in groups of words: boats, bugs, cash, charts, color, critters, etc.

What’s particularly clever is that the generated names can be checked (in bulk) for domain name availability (by Dotster, presumably the company that produced the tools).

Another simple option is Wordlab’s name generator.

As a rule, I don’t recommend meaningless names for your business. Because the name doesn’t immediately mean anything, then people seeing your name won’t connect who you are with what you do. You’ll instead need to spend time/money educating people of your offering (“LinkJam specializes in repairing sewers using robot inspection”). The generated names might instead be ideal for “code names” for internal projects.

After creating your own business name, you might also want to create your own logo (for free). Take a look at LogoYes. The logos are generic, might might be just what you need if you don’t have the funds to hire a graphic artist to design something custom. Alternatively, you could use eLogoContest, where graphic designers compete to create a custom logo that you like. You can get a logo for $25 and up, and only pay if you’re satisfied.

What Is A Good Name For Handmade Chocolate?

I’m starting a homebased business in making made-to-order handmade chocolate candy and also other desserts using vanilla/cocoa. Therefore I need name/tagline that represents that the main ingredients used are cocoa. Furthermore the name must be easy to remember. Customers pay for the taste that they will remember and make they come back for more.

Jay’s Answer:

  • Nuts For Cocoa
  • CocoaNuts
  • Cocoa Addiction
  • ChocoLots
  • CocoaLove
