What Is A Good Tagline For My Business Consulting Company?

I need a tagline for a new company. The name is “Key Methods.” It’s kind of a complicated company structure but here we go: Key Methods is the parent company. We also have a software company (named Key Software), an IT Consulting firm (named Biztek), and an IT network support company (called Clear Focus).
Key Methods refers to helping businesses find the right way “Method” of doing things; kind of like best practices. We want the company to have the feeling of cutting edge, innovative, and modern.
We would like the tagline to have the connotation of looking at different business processes and implementing the key methods to complete the project.

What Is A Good Tagline For A Women’s Investment Club?

I’m launching a Women’s Investment Club and need assistance with a tagline. The name of the club is "Phoenix Investments or Phoenix Investment Group". I want to symbolize "soaring or reaching to new heights" within the tagline.

###

Jay’s Answer: I don’t know if the name "Phoenix" was chosen for location or symbolism (or both).

What’s A Good Name For A Yoga Studio?

I am seeking a name that reflects the vision for the studio so here is a bit about what I am planning.

We will offer yoga "for all ages and stages"– the studio will offer simultaneous but separate classes for kids and adults. Energized, fun-filled classes will encourage kids to explore their minds and bodies. Next door, adult vinyasa flow classes will be rooted in the rich yoga tradition but with a thoroughly modern feel– creative, inspired, and invigorating. We will offer classes for the yoga of child birth– everything from prenatal yoga, ‘baby & me’ classes, space for new moms groups, and workshops on using yoga in childbirth.

Our target audience is young, hip families in Brooklyn, NY.

In sum, I am looking to create a space where people of all ages and stages feel welcomed and comfortable to relax in their own skin yet are encouraged to challenge their own physical and mental limitations. I am seeking a name that reflects these evolving ideas. I am looking for a hip name and trying to avoid names that might ring as ‘new agey’ or intimidating.

What’s a Good Tagline For Our Local Theatre?

We are creating a new season brochure for our theatre, and I’m looking for a tagline. The overall theme/graphic will be that, for lack of a better quick phrase, "this is the hot ticket". It actually goes a bit deeper than that. Our attendance had been down for a few years, but has recently increased, thius the "hot ticket" aspect.

What’s a Good Slogan For A Christmas (Popcorn) Gift?

I work for a trucking company and one of our customers is a kettle corn company. For the holidays we are giving bags of this popcorn out to each of our other customers that we deliver to. We have permission from them to put our own fun label saying happy holidays on it from the company and we are looking for something catchy. Something like "We just popped in to say Happy Holidays" Or something like that. Any ideas?

###

Jay’s Answer:

  • Our corny present to you
  • Thanks for being sweet to us…
  • When you think of trucking, whose name pops up?

What’s A Good Tagline For Recycled Glass Countertops?

I have become aware of a company in my area that uses recycled glass (that they pick up from local businesses themselves for a fee – another part of their business) to create 3 different lines:

1. beautiful, terrazo-style kitchen and bathroom countertops.
2. plates, glasses, and serving pieces
3. outdoor path lining (crushed glass) and stepping stones

They are completely green and sustainable product, since the glass would otherwise end up in a landfill, and the resin to hold it together is no VOC. It is as durable and comparably priced as granite. Also completely customizable in color of glass and resin, and also size of glass pieces.

I am obsessed with this product – it is so beautiful, plus it’s environmentally friendly, which is the “icing on the cake”! But the company has so far only been getting word-of-mouth business through local designers. This is a small, new part of their business, with the recycling part having been around since the early 90’s. I don’t think they realize what some branding and marketing could do for them!

I have a magazine publishing background in sales and marketing, and with all my past experience, I have been talking to this company about working with them on branding and marketing these countertops. I want to continue the discussion with them, and I need a way to bring it to life for them, with a memorable and descriptive name and tagline.

Now, for your brain:

I was thinking of calling it [name of town] Glass Collection (is the double meaning easy to “get”?)

The town is in the Southeastern US coast, a well-known travel destination, also known for it’s natural beauty.

So after the [name of town] Glass Collection, I need a tagline. I was thinking of something that mentions nature, and how great it functions, but also alludes to the sustainability of it (without necessarily using that word)

I was thinking of “Inspired by Nature, something something something”. “Durable by design, inspired by nature”. I just don’t know!

###

Jay’s Answer: True “green” products will continue to be attractive to the marketplace for the long-term. However, people have 2 concerns about “green products” : added price and compromised quality/appearance. For most people, “green” isn’t a primary purchase point – it’s secondary.

[Aside: true green products are few and far between; this product is recycling glass (good) but adding resins which makes recycling the end result much harder. If you want to learn a lot more about this, I recommend “Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things ” by William McDonough & Michael Braungart.]

As for name, “[name of town] Glass Collection” may work (the double meaning is lost for most people) – but who’s their market? Local, Regional, or National? Consumer or interior designer? The wider you cast your net, the more important great geographic names are. Also, is the “glass collection” name is for the entire brand or just the line of countertops? If it’s just for countertops, say so in the name.

As for taglines, again focus on the key benefits that people care about. They’re beautiful. They are recycled. They don’t off-gas. (Anything else?).[Aside: They aren’t inspired by nature, because glass is a man-made product]. Again, they need to speak to their demographic:

  • Naturally Beautiful Countertops
  • Don’t Keep Your House Bottled-up
  • Countertops For Counter-Culture People
  • Countertops That Are Pieces of Art. Naturally.
  • Live Better With Nature.
  • Luxurious Counters. Breathe Easier.
  • More Than A Counter. A Personal Statement.

What Is A Creative Name For A Health and Safety Fair?

I work at a 200-bed hospital and we will be holding a Health and Safety Fair. We need to think of a creative title for our fair. One that is not just called, "Health and Safety Fair," which I’ve seen many places do before.
Also our initials of the hospital are: SJH…So, if we could play a title off of those letters, that would be cool.

We want to attract families with their children. We will have different booths set up with health and safety information available, along with our local fire and police departments here as well. Overall, we want to open children’s eyes to health and safety issues.

What Is A Good Name For A Yoga/Feng-Shui Business?

I am a yoga teacher combining a feng shui consultation practice to my business. I like nature, gardens, trees, green….I would like the name to be holistic or mindful. Something to do with the wellness industry. Easy to remember. Feng Shui brings peace and harmony to living spaces. Yoga brings clarity and focus to the mind.

###

Jay’s Answer: You actually have two businesses now. While I’m sure I can create names that bridge your two specialties, you’re targeting different people with different needs. I don’t care if my yoga teacher does feng shui – I want a yoga teacher. Likewise, when I’m looking for a feng shui expert, I don’t care if they know asanas.

Yes, your markets may overlap, but trying to tell someone in one breath that you do two different things is very hard. In your marketing materials, have them focus on the one message you’re selling.

What Is A Good Tagline For A Year-Round Bar?

Our summer bar needs a tagline to tell clients that it is also open in the winter. Clients are locals. In the winter it is a small, cozy bar. In the summer, it is a large open club, under the stars. We don’t care about the summer now, we want a tagline for the winter.

We thought of: ‘Perfect winter time’ and ‘Winter cocooning starts here’

###

Jay’s Answer: Do the locals visit your bar in the summer? If not, you’ll need to find out why. If they do, but don’t come in the winter, is it because of lack of a crowd?

It sounds like you basically have 2 different clubs: a summer and winter club. They feel different. Market them differently ("The Winter Club is Now Open"). Create speed-dating events. Family events. Ladies-Only nights. Book clubs. Public speakers. Live mike night.

You’ll have to match your demographics with your community to discover what works for you.

What’s a Good Tagline For An Online Marketing Company?

I run an online marketing and web solutions company called “Whirlwind”. We are into web strategy, online campaign management, SEO/SEM, etc. and also offer customized web solutions including site/blog development. As of now, we do not have any tagline for the company, and I would like to ask the members here is they can help us come up with something good.

I am ideally looking at a three-beat advertising slogan, which can add a lot of punch. We figured that this would be needed because the name of our firm doesn’t directly imply what kind of services we offer. So a persuasive/intelligent tagline or slogan would help.

A coupla examples of a three-beat advertising slogan:
1.The few, the proud, the Marines
2. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

###

Jay’s Answer:

  • Business Problems? We Strategize. Web Results.
  • Your Business, Online, Everywhere.

The tagline should mention a key benefit of working with you. Web strategy (etc.) are services, not benefits. Here’s my tagline thinking:

Your Business, Online, Everywhere =
your business – makes the tagline personal to the reader. Removing “your” may work, but it strips the tagline of a “voice”
online – your specialty
everywhere – where the client’s company will be seen.

Note: online/everywhere may appear to be redundant, however many businesses are online, but aren’t visible. What Whirlwind focuses on is the online marketing.

Along the same lines:

  • Be Online. Be Seen. Be Successful.
