I am trying to think of a slogan for my massage business.  It is called Serenity Massage and Bodywork. I basically target males and females, and have a variety of moralities (Swedish Massage, Sports Massage, Myofascial Release, Reiki, etc). Also, do Chair Massage Session. I rent office space where I mainly work out of and will do home  & corporate sessions.  Looking to put slogan on Magnetic Sign for car and on my polo shirts.

I’m starting an on-site chair massage business with my target market being corporations and offices. So I’m trying to come up with something professional and not too cute. I’ve tried “What every workplace kneads” but it didn’t seem to fit. And “A return on your investments” but that doesn’t sounds right either.

The name of the business is Trinity Restorative Bodywork. I’m working out of Raleigh, NC and plan to target Durham and Chapel Hill as well, hence the name play on the “Triangle” cities. It is a local company where, when contacted by a business, I would travel to said business and perform 15-20 minute chair massages on their employees for an allotted amount of time depending on client volume and frequency. Just to scratch the surface, benefits include:

-Increased employee retention
-Less employee absenteeism
-Increased productivity post massage
-Better wellness for workers; health benefits (ex: an employee who misses work or goes the doctor for RSI or carpel tunnel-can be prevented with massage)

And in my personal opinion, an employe who feels cared for by their employer feels much more satisfied and happy with their job.

Jay’s Answer:  Since your business name doesn’t describe your key benefit, you’ll want your tagline to make this clear, such as:

• Employee Chair Massages: Everyone Benefits
• In-Office Chair Massage

We are an agency with around 20 agents distributing financial products like personal insurance, mutual funds and wealth distribution solutions. Agents achieve their dreams thru distributing these products while their help their clients achieve their financial needs. Looking for a vibrant and trendy name to help build our brand.

I would like to open a bakery/coffee house near a tourist spot in San Diego called Old Town, a historic state park, where the Spanish settlers established a mission — there’s museums, Mexican restaurants, and shops selling pinatas, wrestlers masks, ceramics, etc. This bakery will focus on freshly made desserts with a Mexican influence, such as Tres Leche Cake, Tequila Cake, Churros, Chilli Chocolate Cupcakes (spicy), Brownies, Dulce de leche pie, etc. Contemporary twists on traditional recipes in a festive, casual setting. One name I’m thinking about is “El Panadero Borracho” which is the drunk baker in Spanish. Any name and tagline suggestions? Thanks!

Jay’s Answer:  “El Panadero Borracho” could work well, or not depending on if the tourists “get” that you’re a Mexican Bakery. If need be, add “The Drunk Baker” as the name in parentheses, for example:

El Panadero Borracho (The Drunk Baker)

If you’re unsure what people think of the name, consider spending time around Old Town, and asking the tourists (and/or creating a pop-up bakery stall).

I am in the process of re-branding myself.  I have a graphic designer who has created a new logo for me, but I can’t

Jay’s Answer: Best wishes on your rebranding. For this effort, I hope you spent time creating a marketing strategy that identifies your target audience (location, demographics, etc.), your unique benefit, lifetime value, etc. If you did, then you have the seeds of ideas for creating a tagline that shares a key meaningful benefit to your audience. Your current tagline “Your inspiration is our inspiration” doesn’t help clarify what you offer, it just echoes your business name.

By providing you with a generic tagline that simply says “I’m a wedding & event planner” won’t do you justice. What you want is a tagline that especially fits your business, which requires a lot more information from you before you can get an effective and fitting tagline.

I am having some difficulty coming up with a name for an online pet shop that will be donating it’s proceeds to local shelters and animal rescue organizations. We will be selling collars, accessories, coats, etc., but not supplies like crates and such. I am located in a fairly upscale suburban neighborhood in Ohio, and there is a possibility that we may open an actual shop in this location as well. Right now we are focused on the online store, though, and I cannot seem to come up with an original idea! Most combinations of home, rescue, shelter, pet, paws, etc. are already taken by different rescue groups.

I did like the tagline “collars for a cause”, but that’s already a charity. Considered “helping homeless pets” as a tag but it doesn’t seem to convey the retail end of things, just sounds warm and fuzzy.

All of our items are original designs, and made by hand in the US. We are focused on high quality collars, coats, and leashes, with the possibility of expanding into other items down the road. We will not be carrying anything that can be found in a big-box pet store– everything here is unique, and we also offer customizations to our pieces.
