Branding A Small Jewish Independent School?

I’m working with a Jewish independent school that is developing a new tagline and marketing campaign centered around their being a small school. All of its local competitors are now very large schools, and this school’s small size has become a selling feature rather than a weakness.

We’re looking for some examples of organizations or schools that focus on their small small and/or personal attention as a selling point, in a tagline or more broadly. Do you have examples to share, or any guidance?

A Tagline For A Year-Round Bar?

I need a tagline for a year-round bar that has two characters on their ad that seem to be talking to the audience. One is a Red-headed attractive girl with a slick looking guy with sunglasses trying to dance next to her. I need a tagline that says something to the audience that is funny and catchy to the eye.

Example: Work Hard. Play Harder!

###

Jay’s Answer: Here are a few ideas to play with:

For an advertisement:

  • Strut Your Stuff.
  • Show Your Best Moves.
  • How’s Your Mating Dance?
  • Do My Feet Look Phat?

For the bar itself:

  • Where Everyone Knows Your Moves…
  • Get Sax In The City
  • Relaxing Never Looked So Good

Name + Tagline For Professional Development Training Series?

We are trying to implement a professional and personal development training program/series at our company focusing on ways to enhance professionalism, presence, communication style, presentation skills, confidence and credibility, when networking and when with clients; just to name a few. We want to draw attention as to how this will benefit the person’s development and generate excitement to be apart of this program. For example, “It’s all about me (me=employee)” kind of thinking as by default the skills developed will help the company overall. Our staff is primarily Gen X/Gen Y and maybe 30% Baby Boomers. We are looking for a name for the overall program and an associated tagline.

Tagline Ideas For A Communications Company?

I am currently looking at other alternatives to market my communications business. I am in the process of putting together a flyer but am having trouble deciding on a tag line to catch peoples attention and get them to keep reading.

We specialise in IP phone systems, networking multiple sites together using IP technology, implementing telephony solutions to small and medium sized businesses.

###

Jay’s Answer: Focus on the key benefits your business provides (not the technology). For example, do you save companies money (if so, how much on average)? Do you make technology trouble-free (if so, how much less time do they spend troubleshooting)? Do you save the need for an IT hire (if so, how much on average salary is saved)? You get the idea – focus on how what you do helps their bottom line – that’s what people care about.

A Tagline For Springhill Suites By Marriott Hotel?

I am the Director of Sales for the newly opening SpringHill Suites by Marriott. We are next door to a large international airport. SpringHill Suites is an all Suite Hotel run by the Marriott Corporation. We are upscale and looking to attract the business traveler. I need to come up with a tagline to go out and promote our new hotel. So far all I can think of is “Spring into the SpringHill Suites.” I would really appreciate any other ideas or thoughts as I am rather new at this.

Need Slogan For Police Helicopter Anniversary!

I am helping a local police department with a 25th anniversary event for their helicopter division. I would appreciate any suggestions for a slogan for the occasion. The obvious one of “When Pigs Fly” is very cute, but ultimately the PD won’t go for it. They not only do police missions, but also medevacs so they have involvement with the medical side too.

Jay’s Answer:

  • 25 years of looking out for you
  • 25 years of keeping you safe overhead

A Slogan That Highlights the Benefits of Saving Energy?

I need a slogan that highlights the benefits of saving Energy (electricity). We are targeting members of staff of a financial institution, age range 18- 55 years, slogan to be used perhaps on flyer brochure etc. We just need to sensitize them on thebenefits for the company when energy is saved.

###

Jay’s Answer: You have a couple of basic options.

If you focus on saving money, company leadership will be happier, but it won’t necessarily trickle down to the rest of the organization.

If you focus on helping the “planet”, company leadership won’t benefit, staff will only get altruistic benefit.

Therefore, to make the message “stick” it needs to be made personal. For example, will saving energy mean higher year-end bonuses? Fewer people laid off? Perquisites for other things? Also, will saving energy mean that people will be more or less comfortable in their workplace (fresh air/natural light vs. filtered air/artificial light).

Here are some ideas for you to play with:

  • The Lower Our Energy Bill, The Higher Our Profits
  • Save Energy. Work Smarter. Everyone Benefits.
  • Saving Energy Makes Good Cents

What’s A Catchy Name For My Party Planning Business?

I am looking for a catchy name or phrase for my party planning business. I started my own Party Planning business. I want something catchy but yet professional.

###

  • Lizzie Does Parties
  • A-Liz Parties (a play off: A-List Parties)
  • Lizzie’s Whizzy Parties (alliteration)

What Is A Good Tagline For An Industrial Service Company?

It’s extremely difficult to find a tagline for these guys. The name of the company is “tankserv” – It’s located in Austria, but we are looking for an international (English) tagline. Since we’re not native in English, it’s twice as hard…

The target audience will be technical procurement people of large corporations like oil companies.

#1 promise is that tankserv’s services will extend the lifetime of tanks. #2 promise is less hassle during projects as tankserv renders a vast variety of services and the customer gets something like one-stop-shopping. Some words and phrases that already came to my mind: Extend lifetime; Extend Lifespan; Repair-Refill-Regain; Longevity; Revive; Life-cycle; Durability; We Think Tank (funny and the tankserv-people like it – but it’s not related to the promise and not entirely new to the industry).

Jay’s Answer:

  • Tanks, But No (New) Tanks
  • A Tank-less Job
  • Better Contain Your Expenses
  • A Lifetime Of Better Storage
  • The Smarter Storage (of) Solution(s)
  • Hold Onto Your Tanks Longer

  • Reduce Tank Downtime. Increase Longevity.
  • Fix Your Money Pit.
