How To Word A Holiday Retail Sign?

I am trying to come up with a better term for our 50% holiday favorites sign that will hang in our windows. We are a retail junior girls clothing store.

We were thinking of maybe just doing a large 50% holiday favorites sign but is there a cuter or better way to say the holiday favorites part?

Our tagline for holiday is “season to…(love, wish, dream, give, etc)”

###

Given the holiday tie-in, I’d suggest slightly changing your tagline to:

‘Tis The Season To…

Also, you might consider doing 2 for 1 instead of 50% off. If someone purchases an odd number of items (1, 3, etc.), you’ll get more money in your register.

How Can I Reach Large Student Audience?

We are going to make international student brainstorming competition and the prize for winners will be more than 200.000 EUR. Do you have any idea how to reach large student audience with low costs? Of course we are going to contact universities and some student organizations, but we are also in looking for some other ways.

###

Money may be a good motivator, but also a theme that people care about to brainstorm on (“Global Warming”, “Increase in Cancer Rates”, “Increase in Divorce Rate”, “Reducing Homelessness”, etc.) Make the theme socially relevant to get people who are passionate to participate. Make the submissions visible so others can be inspired by others’ thoughts (which is what brainstorming is all about).

What Should I Give Away At A Senior Expo/Trade Show?

I am getting ready to order the marketing giveaways (pens, brochures, etc.) for a senior expo/trade show. The booth will be for a Skilled Nursing Facility. What have you found to be the best economical and productive form of giveaways?

###

Unique and useful gifts. I would think about pens that are easy to hold with arthritic hands, brochures printed in larger fonts for older eyes, new pill holders, and and other things that make an older person’s life a little bit easier

Rather than focus on the giveaways, make sure that your booth clearly markets what makes your facility different/better than the others. Train your staff to reinforce this message. Marketing materials (including giveaways) should likewise reflect the message.

How Can I Create An E-Mail Marketing Plan?

We sell software by Internet

###

I’m assuming that your website is up, and keyword-targeted for your audience. That will help people who need you to find you.

For an email campaign the #1 thing you need is to avoid spamming your prospects. Ideally, you have a list of people who want to be contacted about your type of software (that’s the purpose of a sign up form on your website).

If you don’t have such a list, then you’ll need to avoid getting your emails blocked. Follow the ICANN guidelines (http://www.icann.org/faq/) to ensure you don’t get yourself in trouble.

Post relevant information on your software on the various blogs that your audience reads. That will help to generate some targeted traffic (and hopefully get people to opt-in to your email list).

Make your subject line short and to the point. Make your first sentence on who you’re targeting and why (Here are more tips)

Ideally, use contact manager software to measure your email bounce and open rates. Don’t send out all your emails all at once. Split test your emails to make the offer get more results.

How Can I Advertise My Business For Free?

I want to advertise my business on the web.

###

There are lots of places to advertise on the web. The question is, where are your potential clients looking? What problem do you solve for them? How do you solve their problem? Why should they trust you?

Before wasting your time posting, figure out your strategic marketing plan. Then, you can advertise for the right customer at the right place at the right time (and stand out from all the other free advertisements).

What Is A Good RFID Tagline?

We are a two years young company focused on exploring RFID technology to offer complete solution for segments like health care, retail & jewelry, manufacturing, enterprise assets and library/document tracking. Our value proposition has been that we research, design, develop and manufacture most of our RFID hardware products like multi-port readers, gate scanners, kiosks, active tags, etc. We are looking for a punch line like “Business Intelligence Message” – it could be single or two lines which would convey the right message to our target customers.

How Can I Market Mortgage Protection Insurance?

I have been in the insurance business for a while. I have a handful of associates that are in the same situation that I am. We are looking for a more effective presence on the Internet regarding mortgage protection insurance. We have tried all the “free” posting ideas (i.e. Craigslist, etc.) but we’re looking more toward directed interest in this particular product.

###

Last month Overture listed the relatively low number of 2764 searches for “mortgage protection insurance” (contrast this with 1.7 million searches for “mortgage”) Not surprisingly, if people aren’t searching for it, they won’t find you.

The key is to determine who is your target audience (people with mortgage) and what problem you solve (avoiding foreclosure of your home when you die).

People don’t look for insurance regularly – they think about it when they have a big lifestyle change: a marriage, a divorce, a birth, a death, a new home, an inheritance, and at tax time (when meeting with financial advisers). Therefore, it would make sense to create a series of marketing pieces that help people at these times:

“How To Ensure Your Marriage Is Financially Strong”

“10 Financial Tips for New Parents”

“Keep Your New Home In the Family”

These educational articles would be published on your website, in article banks, local magazines, etc. The purpose is to provide genuine information, with a link back to your site for more information.

How Can I Promote A New Book?

My company is now in the process of launching a new book. They asked me to help them think of ideas to launch this book and I need some help. We plan to release 2,000 copies to local bookstores and do some book signing. I’m planning to make a marketing plan for this project. But until now I don’t know how am I going to promote the book to its target market.

###

What’s the goal of the book? To make more money? To get PR for the author? To inspire others? Is there a desire to tie this book into a back-end seminar or coaching service?

If you want to sell books to make money: ensure you at least follow the traditional route. Get an ISBN. List it on Amazon.com, Google Books, etc. Create a website for the book. Get it reviewed (not necessarily by professional reviewers – it could be friends, people mentioned in the book, etc.) and publish the reviews.

If you want to garner PR: send out the book for free to all your existing clients. Give it away to all new contacts that you make both online and in-person (meetings, shows, etc.). Give copies to local service organizations to give away.

If you’re simply trying to inspire: Donate all profit will be donated to a charitable cause (and follow through). Ideally, make it clear that the book is being paid for out-of-pocket and ALL revenue (not just profit) will be donated. Have the charitable cause(s) help do PR to their mailing lists.

If you want a back-end product/service: Make sure that the book has a “contact for more information” page at the end. With each book sale, give the purchaser a free ticket to an upcoming workshop (or even, 2 tickets!). At the workshop, provide real value, and upsell another workshop, DVD, coaching group, etc.

What Is A Good Heavy Machinery Business Tagline?

I have a heavy machinery business and I desperately need a slogan…here is what we do…road work, land clearing, site work, hauling, ponds, shredding. Our clients are commercial property owners, ranchers, and small property owners. Any ideas would be very much appreciated.
